Job Overview: Improve the EHS of employees by facilitating, monitoring, and ensuring the actual implementation of the EHS Management System on the shop floor and provide the guidance where needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide EHS advice/guidance/coaching to the plant team using different approaches to implement and comply with all EHS requirements in a sustainable manner.
  • Assist the EHS Manager in the implementation, development, and monitoring of the EHS policies and procedures.
  • Complete regular checks and inspections and prepare related reports.
  • Conduct behavioral safety observations and provide support to develop the site BS program.
  • Conduct periodical checks on the plant clinic and prepare evaluation and feedback reports.
  • Coordinate the implementation or conduct EHS trainings as identified by the EHS manager.
  • Develop effective communication media for communication at all levels of the business through weekly bulletins and notice boards.
  • Check readiness of fire alarm firefighting systems and take immediate necessary actions in case of any partial or complete malfunctions.
  • Distribute, check, and arrange for the periodical fire extinguishers inspection and maintenance.
  • Monitor compliance on the shop floor of the PPEs, KSBs, and SWPs and ensure addressing the immediate required actions to correct situations and escalate when necessary.
  • Update safety logs/registers and file and control all safety records.
  • Check and update all EHS communication means (monitors, NM boards, signs, boards, etc.) and report/fix any incorrect situations (damage, outdated, missing form, etc.).
  • Participate in risk assessments, accident investigations, communication, planning, Reward and Recognition (R&R), Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP), monitoring, inspections, and audits as assigned by the EHS MS or the EHS Manager.
  • Follow up with all plant departments to ensure EHS reports are done in due time.
  • Follow up with all plant departments on the completion of Corrective/Preventive Actions (C/PA) and provide support where necessary.
  • Recognize and embrace positive behaviors and practices.
  • Carry out monthly audits on Accident Investigation, P.G.I to ensure FLM receives feedback to ensure standards maintained by the FLM team to drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform any other actions or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager that supports the job's main purpose.
  • Take immediate corrective actions, including stopping/ceasing any activity or closing any area in case of violations (non-conformance or non-compliance) or detecting any concerns that may affect the O&S of the people.
Qualifications

BA/BS required, in the area of Occupational Safety Health, Supply Chain or related quantitative discipline. Recognised EHS qualification; preferably NEBOSH IGC3. Excellent command of both Arabic and English languages and literacy in computer usage. Proficiency level in Ms-office with strength in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and project management. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
