Job description

Job Title: Egress Technician

Grade: 8

Location: Tabuk, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose

BAE Systems supports the UK Government as the Prime Contractor for providing equipment, support, and training to the Saudi Royal Air Force (RSAF). The Egress Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing egress systems on Hawk aircraft, ensuring aircraft are serviceable and meet operational requirements. This includes carrying out maintenance, diagnosing faults, and supporting administrative tasks as directed by the Egress Supervisor, while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and standards.

Job Accountabilities
  1. Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on Hawk egress systems both on and off aircraft.
  2. Ensure quality and completeness of all work, adhering to approved data and safety standards.
  3. Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately.
  4. Identify training needs and provide on-the-job and theoretical training for trainees.
  5. Deputise for the Egress Supervisor when required.
Recruitment Specifications
Essential
  • Recognized qualification at NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship.
  • Part 66 licensed or equivalent technical license.
  • Relevant type training and practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance, human factors, error management, and safety procedures.
Desirable
  • Broad aerospace and defence industry knowledge.
  • Understanding of BAESSA engineering procedures.
