JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor supporting Saudi Arabia through maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and training RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel in aircraft, equipment, and weapons usage. The role involves performing inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support activities for the MBES & PC21 Egress Systems, including on-the-job training and inspections.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Ensure operational aircraft support for KFAA pilot training programs through servicing, fault troubleshooting, modifications, and inspections of aircraft systems within the egress specialty.
2. Provide technical support for aircraft servicing schedules, fault rectification, and evaluation of aircraft systems and components.
3. Achieve and maintain certification for specific trade functions, including Production Inspections signatory capability.
4. Provide formal and informal on-the-job training for personnel to support RSAF or civilian Saudisation of PC21 Intermediate Maintenance operations.
5. Manage and understand RSAF aircraft data systems such as AUTO LOG and MIRO Gold.
6. Comply with RSAF safety and foreign object prevention programs.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential

• Recognized aircraft maintenance traineeship or apprenticeship, including completion of Egress/Armament Maintenance and Explosive Handling courses.
• Proven practical experience in aircraft maintenance, supporting operational flying aircraft, or extensive experience on the same aircraft type.
• Understanding of human factors, error management, health & safety, and hazard analysis.
• Current driving license and computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office.

Desirable

• Knowledge of RSAF 4-1-7166 series publications and technical manuals.
• Understanding of RSAF operations and working practices.
• Experience with Q-pulse, DMS, and M&CA processes.
