Job description

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. We maintain Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel in a safe training environment on how to operate their aircraft, equipment, and weapons.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda, including Saudisation and the development of Saudi National capabilities through the growth of Saudi National Partner Companies, thereby reinforcing industrialisation and partnerships.

This role involves performing and scheduling inspections, maintenance, and unscheduled rectification of Aircraft Equipment and associated components, Bay support, and activities for the MBES & PC21 Egress Systems. The role includes providing On the Job Training (OJT) and Production Inspections. It also involves troubleshooting, inspecting, removing, installing, repairing, and operating all Egress components and associated support and test equipment.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Provide operationally capable aircraft to support KFAA pilot training programmes by carrying out servicing, fault troubleshooting/rectification, modifications, inspections/evaluations of aircraft systems/components, and other related aircraft systems within the egress specialty at the Intermediate level maintenance of PC21 aircraft.
  2. Support the KFAA mission statement and aircraft servicing schedules through workshop support maintenance, fault troubleshooting/rectification, modifications, inspections/evaluations of components/test/support equipment at the Intermediate level maintenance of PC21 aircraft.
  3. Evaluate, interpret, and determine necessary corrective actions, and assess the performance and operational status of specialty-specific aircraft systems, components, and test support equipment at the Intermediate level maintenance of PC21 aircraft.
  4. Achieve and maintain Production Inspections signatory capability for authorized trade certifications, and support specialty and aircraft maintenance functions.
  5. Provide informal and formal On the Job Training (OJT) for personnel to enable RSAF or civilian Saudisation of PC21 Intermediate Maintenance operations.
  6. Acquire user expertise and become familiar with the RSAF aircraft data management and tracking systems AUTO LOG and MIRO Gold.
  7. Understand and comply with the RSAF Safety and Foreign Object Programme.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

  1. Recognized aircraft maintenance traineeship/apprenticeship equivalent for civilian/military candidates.
  2. Completion of Egress/Armament Maintenance course and Explosive handling course.
  3. Extensive proven post-qualification practical maintenance experience in an operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal training or extensive experience on the same aircraft type, or successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/TSNTTP).
  4. Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety, and hazard analysis relevant to the role.
  5. Current driving license.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
