Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dependable Technical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment. This role is crucial to ensuring equipment operates efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime, contributing directly to overall operational productivity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical equipment.
- Diagnose faults and perform timely repairs using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to carry out accurate maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and apply corrective actions safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) practices.
- Inspect and test equipment after repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Support spare parts inventory control and tracking.
- Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and suggest improvements.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment when necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to junior or newly hired technicians.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- 2 4 years of practical experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in an industrial or logistics environment.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g., pumps, conveyors, bearings) and electrical components (e.g., motors, sensors, wiring).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and effectively use diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
