Basic Function

Plan and coordinate transportation operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and materials.

Duties And Responsibilities

1. Route Planning: Develop and optimize routes for transportation to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
2. Scheduling: Create and manage schedules for drivers and vehicles.
3. Coordination: Coordinate with other departments to align transportation plans with overall operations.
4. Monitoring: Track and monitor transportation activities to ensure adherence to schedules and plans.
5. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or disruptions in the transportation plan.
6. Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on transportation performance and metrics.
7. Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with company policies and regulations.
8. Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to provide updates and address any concerns.

Education And Qualification

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred.

Professional Experience

Previous experience in transportation planning or logistics is preferred.
