Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Identify network attacks from internal and external sources.
2. Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to business areas regarding Security Monitoring services.
3. Utilize processes and technologies to detect and prevent malicious attacks.
4. Enhance tools and techniques to defend against attacks.
5. Respond to security events, from detection and analysis to closure.
6. Collaborate with project teams to design, develop, and implement IDS systems into new or existing network infrastructures.
7. Act as the point of contact and represent Security Monitoring in project delivery workshops.

Job Requirements:

• Education: University degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or similar are preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of IT security experience.
• Special Skills: In-depth understanding of current and emerging Malware & Trojan threats, full packet capture technologies, SIEM tools, sandbox technologies, and IDS systems like SourceFire or Snort. Expertise in signature development and log analysis techniques.
