Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Registrar (207168) - Abha
This position involves diagnosing and treating injuries or illnesses within the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery department. Responsibilities include examining patients, taking medical histories, prescribing medications, ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests, and counseling patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare related to their cases.
Accountabilities
- Assess patients and document findings.
- Design and execute the patient’s care plan.
- Educate patients on their health conditions, investigations, treatment options, and medication use.
- Promote health and disease prevention.
- Order and review investigation results.
- Prescribe medications.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to NCC policies, bylaws, strategic plans, rules, and regulations.
- Participate actively in NCC committees and task forces.
- Comply with CBAHI standards of care.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with departments, agencies, vendors, patients, and families.
- Complete fire safety requirements.
- Follow clinical and departmental standards, including attendance.
- Participate in quality improvement and program evaluation activities to meet standards and regulations.
- Support professional development of junior staff.
- Use evidence-based practices.
- Consider population factors in patient care.
- Engage in continuing medical education activities.
Specialty Tasks
- Perform tasks based on training, experience, skills, and Saudi health council guidelines.
- Execute additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges.

Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from recognized universities.
- Master’s degree in a related specialty or Fellowship with SCFHS approval.
Experience
- 2 years of clinical experience post-master’s degree or eligibility to sit for the board examination in the specialty.
SCFHS License
- Licensed as Registrar in the related specialty by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in Office & Health Information Systems.
Languages
- Fluent in English and Arabic, both speaking and writing.
