Job Description

1. Receiving, delivering, and storing goods
2. Register received and issued materials using specific books, cardex, or computer system
3. Review invoices, work orders, and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments
4. Schedule and monitor equipment, delivery, or distribution of materials
5. Examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations
6. Advise sales and billing departments of transportation charges for customers' accounts
7. Arrange for storage facilities when required
