Qualifications

Job description

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, overhauling, generator rewinding, and servicing a range of well-known turbo-generators with units generating 50MW to 700MW (Gas or Steam units).

Main Duties:

1. Perform standard service on units as per O&M procedures.
2. Work closely with the Shop Manager on project progress, estimates, etc.
3. Assist in preparing generators for shipment as needed.
4. Perform generator stator/rotor mechanical tests.
5. Assist with other duties related to any type of generator.
6. Perform generator stator and rotor onsite or workshop inspection and overhaul.
7. Rewind generator rotors at site or workshop.
8. Conduct full or partial rewinding of generator rotors and stators.
9. Follow generator QC procedures and prepare for inspections.

Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience as a Generator Engineer, with a minimum of 3 generator overhauls and preferably at least one rewinding (stator and rotor).
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Languages: English and Arabic.
• Good communication, reporting, and writing skills.
