The Logistics Manager will be based in Saudi Arabia, reporting to the Factory General Manager. The role involves ensuring the timely, quality, and cost-effective delivery of products to the right locations, overseeing distribution and transportation from the manufacturer to the end-user. Key Responsibilities

1. Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations, coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
2. Develop and implement best practices, policies, and processes to enhance operational and financial performance.
3. Provide solutions to logistics challenges while maintaining quality and service standards within budget.
4. Monitor delivery metrics such as quality, quantity, timing, and costs.
5. Negotiate rates and contracts with logistics providers.
6. Optimize transport modes, routes, and frequency.
7. Select and monitor carriers and suppliers based on performance criteria.
8. Ensure carrier compliance with company policies.
9. Resolve transportation, logistics, import/export, and customer issues.
10. Review and report on logistics changes and their impacts.
11. Assess logistics processes for new facilities or plants, advising on cost and efficiency.
12. Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
13. Maintain inventory accuracy, manage stock movements, and resolve discrepancies.
14. Track slow-moving and obsolete stock.
15. Identify waste and streamline logistics processes for savings.
16. Analyze data to provide meaningful logistics insights to improve service and reduce costs.
17. Ensure IT systems are effective, maintained, and accurate, sourcing parts aligned with production and customer needs.

People Management

1. Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing procurement team, ensuring they meet objectives and deliver value.
2. Promote high standards through personal example and team development.

Financial Responsibilities

1. Manage departmental budgets and ensure financial efficiency.

Stakeholder Relationships

1. Collaborate with management to improve operations and implement continuous improvements.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Negotiate and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure delivery and maintenance strategies are met.

Required Qualifications

• Relevant degree in business, engineering, or related field; professional Level 5 Award or NVQ Level 5 preferred.
• 10-12 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation, preferably in automotive or manufacturing sectors.
• Expert knowledge of logistics regulations, including import/export and customs, with certification in dangerous goods handling and aviation security.
• Proven leadership and results-driven approach.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or Netsuite is advantageous.

Preferred Experiences

• Knowledge of manufacturing, automotive processes, and supply chain management.
• Strong IT systems knowledge, including ERP and customer data systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Membership in professional bodies like CILT is a plus.
• Familiarity with lean techniques and supply chain management of fabrication processes.
• Strong organizational skills and team-oriented mindset.
