Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

As Executive Chef, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the culinary department to provide exceptional product and service within brand operating standards.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

  1. Continually focus on rejuvenating the culinary experience. Monitor food and material waste, liaise with suppliers and the team for efficient waste removal, composting, and possibly growing our own produce to feature in our culinary offerings.
  2. Implement wellness and nutrition initiatives throughout the operation, with a focus on growing or making our own products.
  3. Establish purchasing practices that align with the Six Senses nutrition and sustainability platforms.
  4. Regularly assess menus to ensure relevance and compliance with Eat With Six Senses practices.
  5. Promote a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
  6. Achieve financial targets related to revenue, profitability, and ROIC.
  7. Ensure the department operates in compliance with legal, statutory, and financial requirements, including documentation, reporting, contractual obligations, security, safety protocols, communication, product and service standards, host management practices, and budget controls.
Qualifications

To qualify for the Executive Chef position, candidates should have the necessary qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role within luxury hotels, with proven results. The requirements include:

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field, plus 5 or more years of relevant experience, including management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
