Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Lending team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in evaluating lending opportunities by conducting in-depth financial analysis, building robust Excel-based models, and assessing the creditworthiness of corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) to assess borrower performance and risk.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models in Excel to project borrower performance under various scenarios.
  • Support the origination and underwriting of corporate loans by preparing credit applications, memos and risk assessments.
  • Monitor portfolio companies and provide ongoing analysis to support risk management and compliance.
  • Conduct industry and market research to assess borrower performance.
  • Work closely with relationship managers, credit officers, and legal teams to facilitate deal execution.
  • Assist in structuring loan terms and covenant frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CFA or CPA a plus.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate banking, credit risk, or investment banking.

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and scenario analysis
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and key credit metrics
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadline
  • Experience in commercial or corporate lending environments
  • Familiarity with loan structuring, credit risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of financial modeling tools
