Job description

Job purpose
The Lead Well Services Supervisor (WSS) acts as the OQEP Representative at the Hoist & Well Services standalone units (Frac; CTU, Well Testing, Slickline). They are responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of all activities related to standalone well services, in line with OQEP plans. The goal is to meet well objectives while adhering to OQEP policies and standards for HSE performance, well integrity, data acquisition, and operations execution.

HSE Roles & Responsibilities:
• Oversee the HSE performance of standalone units and lead these units to achieve company HSE KPIs.
• Provide technical input during HSE emergencies or well control events.
• Implement and monitor the Well Delivery HSSE plan for relevant units, ensuring compliance with OOCEP HSSE requirements.
• Ensure contractors conduct work according to contractual, quality, and HSE standards, fostering a strong HSE and Quality culture at the well site.
• Monitor HSE performance, enforce policies, conduct safety inductions, and ensure effective risk management.
• Close out HSE actions from audits and incident investigations.
• Participate in high-potential HSE incident investigations, following OOCEP procedures.
• Conduct commissioning for new units.
• Ensure personnel are familiar with the Emergency Response Plan and understand their roles.
• Act as Site Commander in emergencies, when required.
• Promote safety and participate in HSE programs.

Operations Roles & Responsibilities:
• Supervise and instruct contractors on daily activities, ensuring compliance with OOCEP standards.
• Conduct all well service activities according to industry and OOCEP procedures.
• Work towards the Well Delivery business plan, focusing on HSE, activity numbers, NPT, and costs.
• Ensure equipment is tested, maintained, and operated within specifications.
• Review and contribute to standalone programs, incorporating lessons learned.
• Complete operational reports, including Value-Of-Work-Done.
• Contribute to contractor performance reviews and close actions timely.
• Provide post-well operational performance reviews, analyzing costs, time, NPT, issues, and improvements.
• Liaise with senior engineers on operational optimization and change management.
• Raise MOC requests for critical changes.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials and services, managing logistics efficiently.
• Review and approve field tickets, noting comments and NPT records.

Other Roles & Responsibilities:
• Ensure contractual compliance and report deviations.
• Monitor training and development of trainees and new engineers, acting as a mentor if needed.

Key Interactions:
Internal: Development/Exploration, Central Operations, Facilities, Supply Chain.
External: Contractors & Service Providers.

Working Conditions: Field environment, computer use, shift work.

Education: Degree in engineering (well, mechanical) or related.

Languages: Fluent in English; Arabic preferred.
