Job description

Job Title: Registrar in Cardiology

We are seeking a qualified Registrar in Cardiology to manage patient care at Riyadh Hospital. The role involves overseeing patient treatment from consultation to completion, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring consistent treatment in line with protocols. The successful candidate will provide advice to staff, pursue ongoing training, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage care of new and follow-up patients from consultation through treatment completion.
  2. Maintain accurate and clear medical records.
  3. Ensure consistent medical treatment by working according to protocols and ensure continuity of care.
  4. Provide advice to clinical, scientific, and administrative staff.
  5. Facilitate training under the direction of the Medical Director, adhering to hospital policies and protocols.
  6. Take responsibility for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and documentation for revalidation.
  7. Comply with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards such as MOH, SCFHS, SFDA, CBAHI, JCI, etc.
  8. Ensure the credentials, privileges, and competencies of subordinates are maintained.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. 3rd category credential according to SCFHS (e.g., Saudi clinical diploma, Arab Board, Jordanian Board, etc.).
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in the same field post-credential, or as per SCFHS regulations. Subspecialties require specific training.
  3. Current registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as a Registrar is preferred.
  4. Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP, ALSO are highly required depending on the specialty.
Skills and Competencies:
  1. Profound knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
  2. Commitment to ethical standards in the medical profession.
  3. Good communication and people management skills.
  4. Leadership qualities and emotional/social intelligence.
