Job Summary

The Senior Camp Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations and activities of a camp, ensuring the well-being, safety, and enjoyment of campers and staff. They manage daily camp operations, coordinate programs and activities, supervise camp counselors and support staff, develop and implement camp policies and procedures, communicate with parents or guardians, and handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and record-keeping. Their primary goal is to create a positive, inclusive camp environment that promotes camper engagement, development, and adherence to safety standards and regulations.

Job Responsibilities 1
  1. Supervise and oversee daily camp operations, including scheduling activities, managing staff assignments, and ensuring policy adherence.
  2. Provide guidance, support, and training to camp counselors and staff, addressing performance issues as needed.
  3. Develop and implement camp programs and activities that promote engagement and skill development.
  4. Ensure safety and well-being by conducting safety inspections and enforcing safety protocols.
  5. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and concerns.
  6. Manage administrative tasks such as camper registration, record maintenance, and budget oversight.
  7. Foster a positive, inclusive environment promoting teamwork and respect.
  8. Respond to emergencies, implementing safety protocols.
  9. Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and improve camp programs and operations.
