JOB TITLE: Project Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION
GVR is a market leader in the downstream petroleum segment, playing a major role in the value chain of retail and home-based fuel stations through automation, payment solutions, wet stock management, fleet management, and more. Our operations span across all MEA regions with a robust project and service network.
We are executing a multi-geographic rollout of these projects and seek a highly experienced project manager familiar with similar environments.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end and on-time delivery of large-scale automation and payment projects, covering design, requirements, contract development, estimating, engineering development, verification, system integration, installation, and deployment. The Project Manager will provide leadership to the project team.
The incumbent will oversee major projects, ensuring their justification, design, management, control, execution, and closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Project planning and coordination with customer and internal teams weekly.
- Assemble and lead a project team of internal and external professionals.
- Monitor and review the workload of PDS Managers.
- Utilize Visual Project Management techniques daily.
- Manage daily operations, monitor milestones, and report progress.
- Implement risk management through issue tracking and mitigation.
- Create and evaluate project reports, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Global Product Management and Engineering for project scope approval.
- Develop a comprehensive Master Project Plan with weekly action items, resources, and timelines.
- Perform technical integration evaluations of solution components.
- Define product and solution specifications, conduct gap analysis, and estimate work content.
- Develop Functional Specifications and Change Notices.
- Act as the technical interface with the customer.
- Manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation to production rollout.
- Oversee project personnel and communicate with key stakeholders daily.
- Develop and control the project schedule to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage project budgets, including detailed cost breakdowns and P&L responsibility.
- Handle project sign-offs, PO approvals, and change requests.
- Coordinate resource requirements and utilization, tracking project activities from planning to invoicing.
- Develop cost targets aligned with the business plan.
- Negotiate change proposals with stakeholders.
- Monitor project milestones and performance indicators regularly.
- Develop strategies to evaluate project outcomes and recommend remedial actions.
- Manage project expenditures and prepare financial summaries for leadership.
- Conduct Alpha and Beta field trials for product validation.
- Ensure activities from project initiation to launch are completed successfully.
Personal Qualifications & Experience
Education/Qualifications
- Degree in IT, Electronics, or Instrumentation
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
Experience/Knowledge
- 5-10 years of project management experience, preferably in advisory or engineering supervisory roles
Specific Skills
- Technical project management or business analyst expertise
