Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend to service-related issues concerning Air Handling Units (AHUs), troubleshoot, and analyze design issues that lead to failure or poor performance. Requires 7-10 years of experience in AHU service, troubleshooting, and design.
- Resolve fan-related problems with thorough knowledge of fan systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve service issues on both Chilled Water AHU and DX AHU systems, applicable for heating and cooling applications.
- Understand, resolve, and identify duct design problems affecting performance; report and defend technical findings related to noise, airflow, and duct issues stemming from poor design.
- Troubleshoot AHU and duct-related issues.
- Prepare detailed technical reports with in-depth analysis of site issues or complaints.
- Investigate root causes of failures, especially quality-related, and communicate with factories on technical aspects of AHU design.
- Troubleshoot, configure, program, and reprogram AHU controls; practical hands-on experience required.
- Be familiar with local codes and regulations regarding installation and commissioning.
- Advise on air balancing of ventilation systems.
- Possess a strong understanding of chilled water piping; knowledge of chillers is an advantage.
- Provide remote and on-site support, including travel within KSA.
- Develop and deliver technical service training on AHU service and design.
- Offer technical support via email, phone, and site visits across the KSA region.
- Collaborate with the factory on service issues and quality investigations to improve design and quality.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting, commissioning, and installing AHUs and ventilation systems.
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer or equivalent with ability to resolve problems independently.
- Experience with factory-specific selection software or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of psychometrics and refrigerant thermodynamics.
- Practical experience with motors, fans, noise meters, and airflow/balancing tools.
- Ability to write technical reports backed by field data.
- Excellent presentation skills and flexibility to travel within KSA.
Education:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Skills:
- Exceptional AHU troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in installing large air handling units.
- Knowledge of Chiller Plant Manager and controls.
- Strong analytical skills related to fan systems and duct design.
- Good customer communication skills.
- Sound decision-making abilities.
- Positive attitude towards technical problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills are a plus.
