Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Engineering professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.

As a Director of Engineering, you are responsible for all matters related to the repairs and maintenance operation of the physical plant and engineering facilities within the hotel. You will maintain all mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, including heating and ventilation systems. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Organize and set up preventive maintenance programmes for all electrical and mechanical equipment, including general building works.
  2. Advise the General Manager and the Corporate Vice President - Engineering and Technical Services of any problems at all times.
  3. Supervise maintenance employees and contract employees performing minor building work, electrical, and mechanical installations.
  4. Supervise and liaise with all contractors, write specifications for electrical, mechanical, and related building works complying with local regulations, and inspect and approve contractor work upon satisfactory completion.
  5. Oversee the maintenance of all life safety systems throughout the hotel and report major defects.
  6. Ensure all administrative files are up to date, including drawing prints, specifications, equipment manuals, and technical maintenance manuals.
  7. Recommend and evaluate energy conservation programmes, ensure their implementation, and investigate wastage.
Skills, Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally hold a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering with at least three years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. A good command of written and spoken English and the ability to diagnose and rectify subsystems are essential.
