We are seeking to appoint a high-caliber Director, Business Development to shape and drive our growth agenda across KSA.

Overview

KBR-AMCDE is a leading engineering and consultancy joint venture located in Saudi Arabia, employing over 900 professionals. The business is deeply established in KSA, with the work delivered under the General Engineering Services Plus (GES+) contract with Aramco, PMC portfolio as well as engineering services to other major clients, and detailed engineering support to LSTK contractors. While maintaining and expanding these strategic relationships with existing clients remains a priority, KBR-AMCDE are also focused on diversifying its client base and capturing new opportunities within the Kingdom.

To lead this strategic ambition, we are seeking to appoint a high-calibre Director, Business Development to shape and drive our growth agenda across KSA.

Role

The Director, Business Development will be responsible for leading KBR-AMCDE’s sales and business development efforts within the Kingdom. The role will focus on strengthening existing relationships, particularly with Saudi Aramco, while identifying and securing new opportunities with a broader set of clients across key sectors. The successful candidate will serve as both a strategic leader and a visible representative of KBR-AMCDE.

Key Responsibilities

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Achieve and exceed revenue/Job Income targets and KPIs, demonstrating a track record of success in driving business growth and profitability in the Saudi Arabian market.
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of business development initiatives in Saudi Arabia, focusing on generating new revenue streams and expanding market share within the region.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge and experience of the Saudi market dynamics, regulatory landscape, and industry trends to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with key senior stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and potential clients, to foster collaboration and drive business growth.
  • Deepen engagement with Saudi Aramco under the GES+ contract and identify adjacent areas for growth.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue/Job Income targets and KPIs, demonstrating a track record of success in driving business growth and profitability in the Saudi Arabian market.
  • Broaden KBR-AMCDE’s client portfolio by targeting new opportunities across infrastructure, energy, and industrial sectors.
  • Direct, support, mentor and develop internal sales/bidding team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across client organisations, government bodies, and industry partners.
  • Lead high-quality bid and proposal processes, working cross-functionally with technical, commercial, and operations teams.
  • Serve as a key member of the KBR-AMCDE leadership team, contributing to broader business planning and decision-making.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility, build strategic partnerships, and identify potential business leads.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of business development experience in Saudi Arabia, within engineering, or energy sectors.
  • Proven track record of success with Saudi Aramco and other major clients in the Kingdom.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal). Being fluent in Arabic will represent a distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver business development strategies that generate sustainable growth.
  • Experienced in operating at senior levels with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and understanding of the local regulatory landscape.

Reporting

This role will report to VP Business Development based in the UAE with dotted line to the KBR-AMCDE VP and Managing Director and will work closely with KBR regional leadership.
