Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Work Schedule:
  • Monday-Thursday: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Monday-Thursday: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Description:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be based at the company’s manufacturing facility in Medina, Ohio. The role involves executing equipment repairs promptly, completing preventive maintenance, and assisting in engineering projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform timely equipment change-overs according to production schedules.
  2. Assist in maintaining the preventive maintenance schedule on assigned equipment.
  3. Participate in equipment rebuilding activities, reviewing and rebuilding as assigned.
  4. Make timely repairs as directed by the engineering department.
  5. Assist operators with equipment set-ups to ensure proper operation.
  6. Requisition parts, components, supplies, and equipment needed for maintenance.
  7. Provide training to plant personnel on equipment control and processes.
  8. Ensure compliance with OSHA and SDS standards.
  9. Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree or higher is a plus.
  • Must provide own tools necessary for job responsibilities.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work overtime and night shifts as required.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing chemical plant operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Electrical, pneumatic, plumbing/pipefitting, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with plumbing/pipefitting is desirable.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime due to breakdowns.
  • At least 2 years of related experience with packing or production machines.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Capability to perform strenuous, repetitive physical tasks, including climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods (at least 2 hours at a stretch, four times a day).
  • Work in extreme temperatures indoors and outdoors.
  • Overtime may be frequently required.
