A leading hospital in Saudi Arabia seeks a physician specializing in Movement Disorders. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, engaging in research, and participating in educational activities. Candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant experience and board certification.
Summary
Responsible for diagnosing and treating medical diseases and conditions, particularly in the field of Movement Disorders, in accordance with hospital policies, bylaws, and regulations.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Clinical Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality patient care in Movement Disorders within approved clinical privileges.
• Offer consultation services in inpatient and emergency settings promptly, as per hospital policies.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete medical records.
• Participate in on-call duties, maintaining availability and response times as required.
• Conduct daily rounds, identify patients ready for discharge, and ensure discharge orders are prepared 24 hours in advance.
• Perform other clinical duties related to Movement Disorders as assigned.
Academic Responsibilities
• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in departmental educational activities and attend national and international conferences.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge through ongoing education.
Research Responsibilities
• Participate in clinical, basic, and translational research projects to advance knowledge and hospital reputation.
Administrative Responsibilities
• Undertake administrative duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
• Participate in departmental activities, committees, and administrative functions.
• Assist in developing and implementing resource-maximization techniques and practices.
• Comply with hospital bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies, staying updated on any changes.
• Engage in ongoing education and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Graduation from an accredited medical school, with completion of specialty/subspecialty training, and holding Arab or American Board certification, or equivalent qualifications from the UK or Canada.
Experience Required
Minimum of 7 years of training and postgraduate experience in the relevant subspecialty.
