Role Purpose

Our Business Assurance unit is a global leader in professional assurance services, specializing in management systems compliance, standards, schemes, and business improvement, including customised training and assurance programs.
Reporting to the Sales Manager Middle East, the Strategic Account Manager's purpose is to:
Key Responsibilities
Results-driven delivery
Manage strategic accounts with initial revenue targets of £0.5-3m, focusing on growth, retention, and new client acquisition. Develop strategies for new sales and collaborate with LRQA teams to achieve success.
Account Management Skills
Create and execute account plans to maximize revenue, develop client strategies, and grow influence within client organizations. Maintain an active pipeline and coordinate with marketing and service teams.
Pipeline Management Skills
Ensure pipelines are sufficient to meet targets, accurately tracking sales stages and timelines. Take corrective actions as needed to keep forecasts reliable.
Preparation and Delivery of Account Plans
Maintain up-to-date account strategies aligned with growth initiatives, prioritising opportunities and team efforts.
Contract Renewals and RFPs
Manage retention and renewal processes, minimizing risks of business loss, and support new business opportunities through bids and proposals.
Problem Solving
Work with clients to identify problems and propose tailored solutions based on market knowledge and experience.
Market Knowledge and Strategic Prioritisation
Maintain strong market insights to facilitate client communication, introduce new products, and contribute to strategic planning.
Contribution to Sales Meetings and Performance Summaries
Produce accurate sales reports, pipeline updates, and performance summaries for management and leadership teams.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
Ensure safety risks are managed through regular reviews, communication, training, and compliance with legal requirements.
Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements
Essential: Experience in achieving sales targets, selling in B2B environments, working with large strategic clients, developing contracts, and managing proposals. Fluency in English and at least one other language. Familiarity with IT tools, Salesforce, and business processes.
Desirable: Knowledge of the business assurance sector and relevant degrees or qualifications.
