Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing and Communications Manager is part of an important team that creates and executes property-level communications to our customers. Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing and Communication, this role promotes on-brand messaging through traditional, digital, and social media channels to enhance the hotel's image. This role involves building marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activating channels to drive consumer awareness, preference, market share, and brand recognition. It also focuses on showcasing Food and Beverage promotions to both hotel guests and local patrons. The manager collaborates with regional eCommerce and Marketing teams to ensure marketing efforts are integrated with sales strategies. The role balances traditional and digital marketing activities and contributes to public relations efforts. Success is measured by sales, revenue, social media engagement, and resource utilization for compelling campaigns.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience

Required:

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field, with 4 years of experience in sales, marketing, digital, or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred.
  • OR
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field, with 2 years of relevant experience; hospitality marketing or digital advertising agency experience preferred.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Hotel Marketing and Advertising
  • Execute annual marketing plans aligned with hotel leadership and regional teams.
  • Partner with operational teams to implement promotions targeting in-house guests to increase revenue.
  • Coordinate with advertising agencies on creative and media plans, especially for F&B promotions.
  • Manage media schedules and ensure timely account settlements.
  • Work with Revenue Management to verify offer loading and ad targeting.
  • Implement email marketing and display advertising campaigns.
  • Engage with regional eCommerce managers to align online marketing efforts.
  • Ensure digital advertising aligns with brand voice.
Social Media Content Management
  • Manage social media engagement and content updates on digital channels.
  • Develop and execute digital promotions for various hotel services.
  • Manage online reputation by responding to guest comments.
Public Relations and Visual Asset Management
  • Develop quarterly PR plans and execute with agency approval.
  • Maintain media contacts, especially food critics and bloggers.
  • Write and distribute press releases for events and promotions.
  • Coordinate hotel events, community relations, and press activities.
  • Manage media engagement to secure press coverage.
  • Oversee photography and visual assets, ensuring brand consistency.
Direct Marketing and Collateral Development
  • Coordinate printed materials and manage collateral inventory.
  • Assist with signage and promotional materials in the hotel.
  • Collect competitor collateral for market analysis.
  • Manage F&B direct marketing activities ensuring brand standards.
General
  • Support all communication activities, emphasizing F&B promotions.
  • Assist with hotel newsletter publication and other communications.
  • Coordinate with eCommerce and Revenue teams to report on marketing performance.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitors’ marketing efforts.
