Job description

Aramco energizes the world economy.

Aramco occupies a special position in the global energy industry. We are one of the world’s largest producers of hydrocarbon energy and chemicals, with among the lowest Upstream carbon intensities of any major producer.

With our significant investment in technology and infrastructure, we strive to maximize the value of the energy we produce for the world along with a commitment to enhance Aramco’s value to society.

Headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with offices around the world, we combine market discipline with a forward-looking view of the future, born of our nine decades of experience as responsible stewards of the Kingdom’s vast hydrocarbon resources. This responsibility has driven us to deliver significant societal and economic benefits to not just the Kingdom, but also to a vast number of communities, economies, and countries that rely on the vital and reliable energy that we supply.

We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as among the top five global companies by market capitalization.

Overview

We are seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to join the Unconventional Resources Maintain Potential Projects Department (URMPPD).

The URMPPD is responsible for the tie-in of more than 500 gas wells over the next two (2) years throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a significant focus in the Jafurah Area.

You will ensure these are executed safely, with high quality, and within budget and schedule constraints to maintain the company's maximum sustainable gas production from unconventional resources. This role offers great opportunities to collaborate with various resources within the department and the company, and to be recognized as a high-performing professional. A global mindset is essential to think globally and act locally.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate the execution of UR Maintain Potential Facilities from scope review to commissioning and post-completion analysis.
  2. Coordinate the review of scope content from technical and financial documents.
  3. Prepare estimates for gas well tie-ins and related facilities, ensuring accuracy.
  4. Guide planning and construction efforts, monitor expenditures, and control costs and schedules.
  5. Coordinate procurement activities for long-lead and Aramco-supplied materials.
  6. Review significant aspects of facilities under construction, including site visits.
  7. Ensure proper documentation and facilitate post-project analysis.
  8. Coordinate preparation of construction contracts and technical documentation for awards.
  9. Review bids for compliance with policies, procedures, and scope.
  10. Ensure construction meets Saudi Aramco standards and specifications.
  11. Provide construction supervision to ensure safety and quality standards.
  12. Approve contract payments and variations within authority limits.
  13. Monitor project start-up and spare parts requirements.
  14. Maintain comprehensive project records.
Minimum Requirements
  1. BSc in Mechanical Engineering with at least 9 years of experience in design, procurement, construction, and commissioning within the gas/oil industry.
