ABOUT THE JOB
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Manager to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This role is within our Infrastructure Division, focusing on Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, including roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments. You will oversee contractual matters, ensure compliance, manage change proposals, and prepare cost reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Main responsibilities of the job:
- Develop detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the cost control manager to establish and monitor budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial adherence.
- Track project progress against schedules, addressing delays or deviations promptly.
- Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans.
- Represent the company at meetings with clients, third parties, and contractors regarding schedule matters.
- Coordinate with project managers and discipline managers to monitor and control schedules.
- Prepare reports and presentations for clients, highlighting milestones, timelines, and risks.
- Act as a liaison between the project team and the client on schedule control issues and requirements.
- Provide planning guidance and support to the client.
- Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure quality control processes are followed to deliver high-quality work.
- Coordinate with discipline managers to guide consultant staff and promote collaboration during construction supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Contractual)
Main responsibilities of the job:
- Lead all contractual matters, including compliance, change management, cost reporting, and claim mitigation.
- Develop strategies to mitigate claims and review correspondence for potential impacts.
- Identify and assess contractual issues.
- Ensure bonds, warranties, insurances, and undertakings align with the client's interests and contractual terms.
- Represent the company in meetings related to procurement, contracts, and claims.
- Administer claims from consultants and contractors.
- Draft contractual communications and evaluate incoming correspondence for commercial impact.
- Oversee application and payment processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Act as a liaison on contractual matters, understanding client requirements.
- Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to quality control processes.
- Coordinate with discipline managers to lead the team and foster collaboration during construction supervision.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Formal qualifications/affiliations with RICS, IQS, ICES, or CIOB.
- Over 15 years of experience in project management, especially in mega construction projects.
- Understanding of construction, design, and engineering principles.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Excellent communication, report writing, social skills, teamwork, problem-solving, autonomy, and technical rigor.
- Willingness to work in a multinational environment.
Additional Requirements
- Transferable Iqama if non-Saudi.
- Based in Riyadh.
- Valid SCE membership.
