Position Objectives:
The Project Manager - OSP is responsible for the end-to-end implementation of the assigned Project.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Manage the consultant services, control the quality and quantity of work performed, guide the team, and carry the overall responsibility for the task fulfillment and the Consultant's activities.
- Set objectives and priorities for the execution of work in line with the project scope and the Client's requirements.
- Ensure a detailed Project Plan and necessary and satisfactory project procedures are established to direct all project work in order to maintain timely execution and quality of work.
- Monitor project progress and proactively track bottlenecks and related issues to ensure that project schedules and key milestones are satisfactorily met.
- Coordinate project activities with all involved departments and sections to ensure well-ordered, end-to-end execution of all project tasks.
- Supervise work results and compare results with guidelines and project plans.
- Ensure that results are compiled, documented, and forwarded to the Client in the required format, quantity, and quality, and ensure timely and correct presentation and explanation of results.
- Establish a mechanism to track, review, and clarify problem issues raised in the project, and to identify actions needed to resolve project blocking issues.
- Hold regular project progress review and coordination meetings with key project team members, Contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular reviews of changing project requirements, organisation, and resource needs, and provide recommendations for changes accordingly.
- Provide training and support regarding the application of all OSP Standards and specifications, including planning output, design, and implementation activities.
- Coordinate with the OSP task force head to identify any process gaps, quality reports, and knowledge gaps of all implicated resources, including the client, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure the application of all Fundamental and Contingency Planning concepts, rules, and processes
- Responsible for the project PO closeout.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a university or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 8 years of telecommunication experience with at least 5 years in a responsible position managing large departments.
- Extensive knowledge and professional experience should have been obtained in the fields of managing OSP projects, project control, and coordination with the Client and the Contractor.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- PMP certification or equivalent.
