Job description

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Finance Leader in this role, your primary focus will be on:

  1. Cost Accounting & Financial Reporting: Ensuring the accurate recording and timely reconciliation of costs, including variable and fixed costs, accruals, and other key accounting entries. You’ll provide expert cost analysis and support financial operations, particularly in the manufacturing and operational space.
  2. Inventory & Valuation Management: Oversee inventory processes such as cycle counts, stock valuations, and reconciliation under US GAAP & IFRS standards. Your expertise will be key to ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  3. Business Partnering: Work closely with operations, procurement, and technical teams to provide insightful financial guidance. Prepare detailed cost analysis reports, variance analysis, and contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and business planning activities.
  4. Process Improvement & Continuous Efficiency: You’ll be instrumental in enhancing accounting processes and driving improvements to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency. Actively collaborate with business partners to refine processes and optimize financial outcomes.
  5. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Lead and develop a site-based finance team, ensuring goals align with corporate objectives. Foster positive relationships with stakeholders and manage performance through feedback-driven goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in a senior finance role, ideally within manufacturing or a similar operational industry.
  3. Certifications: CPA or equivalent (preferred).
  4. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of IFRS or US GAAP, including principles of management and financial accounting.
  5. Key Skills: Strong analytical abilities, financial modeling, and proficiency in Excel (advanced skills). Knowledge of SAP and OneStream is desirable.
  6. Leadership: Experience leading and developing teams, and fostering strong business partner relationships.
  7. Compliance: Solid understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.
  8. Process Improvement: Ability to identify and implement systematic solutions to improve processes.
