At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are hiring a Technical Engagement Manager to lead AWS consultants, partners, and client teams. Engagement Managers oversee and deliver AWS cloud products and services that help our customers achieve their business goals. These engagements focus on the full spectrum of AWS solutions to remove constraints and accelerate customer journeys to AWS.

Key job responsibilities
  • Manage projects independently and as part of larger teams, owning work streams from understanding customer outcomes to delivery.
  • Lead teams, manage customer expectations, handle risks proactively, and ensure effective governance to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with AWS teams and customer stakeholders, with customer satisfaction as a key driver.
  • Embrace and apply Amazon Leadership Principles, engage with other teams, participate in recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
  • This role is customer-facing and may require travel to client locations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of leading IT project delivery in a global enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and understanding of public cloud value propositions.
  • Knowledge of cloud principles and services, including infrastructure, applications, data management, security, and platforms.
  • Experience applying formal project management methodologies and SDLC.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience as a project manager, engagement manager, or similar role.
  • Master’s or PhD in relevant fields.
  • Familiarity with AWS services like EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3.
  • Experience presenting to diverse audiences, including technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools (Jira, Rally, VersionOne, etc.) and collaboration tools (Confluence, etc.).
