Job Description

The role is responsible for managing the development, launch, and ongoing evolution of Accounts for the bank. He/she oversees the development of the Accounts strategic roadmap with key market and research inputs. He/she develops pricing, launch strategies, and financial projections in collaboration with the Commercials teams. He/she manages the performance and product functionalities of the Bank's Accounts products based on market feedback, regulatory and legal requirements, and strategic priorities. The work involves collaboration with business, technology, and operations teams, as well as market monitoring for product performance and competitor analysis. He/she is expected to be an effective project manager, managing multiple stakeholders, and collaborating to implement product improvements and new features by translating feedback into technical requirements. Knowledge of market trends and relevant technologies is essential, along with driving market research and developing business proposals for new opportunities.

The role also includes mentorship, focusing on people, business acumen, and commercial leadership. He/she is accountable for product performance, bringing high-level expertise to the business, and is an expert in product development, management tools, positioning, and pricing methodologies. Knowledge of emerging consumer and industry trends is important.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop the Accounts roadmap by identifying focus areas for the products
  2. Assess revenue potential of new Accounts features through detailed analysis
  3. Present findings on customer needs and pain points to stakeholders
  4. Lead business case development for innovations and initiatives
  5. Develop detailed product requirements and collaborate with UX teams
  6. Coordinate with technology on development timelines and release processes
  7. Validate specifications and development costs against market potential
  8. Prioritize product features aligned with strategic goals
  9. Execute projects for new offerings or major changes
  10. Manage customer feedback, usability testing, and analytics
  11. Translate feedback into technical requirements
  12. Communicate business requirements for product enhancements
  13. Collaborate on integration work with partners
  14. Develop go-to-market plans with Commercials team
  15. Contribute to in-product tools for customer engagement
  16. Ensure issue resolution related to product performance
  17. Develop key metrics for product success
  18. Maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners
  19. Manage key stakeholders in large projects
  20. Support business development and innovation discussions
  21. Make decisions on product development paths
  22. Perform other duties as assigned
  23. Ensure compliance with controls and information security policies
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification from a recognized institution

Experience

  • At least 10 years in developing and launching Accounts products, with 3+ in a leadership role in a mid or large bank
  • Experience leading teams, responsible for product outcomes
  • Part of a leadership team, involved in strategy and implementation
  • Operational responsibility for teams and resources
  • Subject matter expertise in Accounts or payment methods
  • Experience working with stakeholders up to C-level
  • Ownership of the commercial impact of decisions
  • Knowledge of technical tools for cloud-based software products
