Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage power purchase contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations and aligning contract milestones with technical and commercial performance metrics.
- Monitor and report on the day-to-day operations of contracted power producers to ensure smooth and efficient energy procurement.
- Guide the development of strategic power purchasing plans in collaboration with the Planning and Strategy business line, considering market conditions and associated risks.
- Review and approve power purchase invoices after verification by the Commercial Settlements team, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contract terms.
- Coordinate corrective measures in power purchase contract implementation from both technical and commercial perspectives to maintain system efficiency.
- Plan and provide periodic reports to stakeholders, detailing the status of power purchase agreements, revenue generation, and relevant technical/commercial criteria.
- Support the application of performance metrics for power purchase contracts under development, ensuring lessons learned from previous agreements are applied.
- Consult and collaborate with relevant business functions, including Legal, to address and resolve any technical or commercial disputes related to power purchasing.
- Analyze and review O&M plans in coordination with system operators and other stakeholders, recommending amendments as needed to ensure smooth contract execution.
- Improve contract-related processes by providing data-driven insights and promoting SPPC as a trusted and efficient power purchase entity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
- More than 10 Years of Experience in a relevant field.
- Procurement Management (e.g., CIPM) are preferred.
