Job Description

Wood is looking for a Consultant Architectural Designer to join our team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

1. Assist Lead Architectural Engineer in providing technical excellence.
2. Update the Architectural files.
3. Routinely report job progress to the Lead Engineer.
4. Prepare & check CADD drawings for projects such as floor plans, sections, doors & windows schedules, wall section details, etc.
5. Provide insights and troubleshoot site queries, offering solutions to complex technical issues, and coordinate building architectural design with other disciplines.
6. Assist Lead Engineer in preparing material take-offs for architectural items.
7. Support the Design Supervisor in maintaining a needs list of design criteria to support project completion.
8. Support the Design Supervisor and Project Management in presentations to the project team to support design/drafting concepts and progress.
9. Familiarize with department standards and procedures, supporting the Design Supervisor in their interpretation and implementation.
10. Review and recommend revisions to existing design/drafting standards and procedures.
11. Mentor and guide trainees and new joiners on architectural design nuances, and deliver presentations as needed.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 20 years of experience, with at least 12 years in design.
2. Engineering Diploma or equivalent.
3. Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
4. Extensive experience in architectural design, particularly with complex projects for Saudi Aramco and SABIC.
5. Strong knowledge of RC, Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and international standards.
6. Experience supervising designers and CADD operators.
7. Experience in detailed drafting, design, and material take-offs.
8. Knowledge of engineering practices, design details, international codes, standards, procedures, and specifications.
9. Experience with development, enhancement, and maintenance of 3D graphic visualization and modeling.
