ED IV / Senior Piping Pipeline Designer

Job Description

Wood is currently looking for an ED/Senior Piping Designer in Saudi Arabia with experience in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

1. Assist Lead Engineer in providing technical excellence.
2. Supervise, train, and support project designers and team members.
3. Prepare and check 3D models and CADD drawings.
4. Ensure consistency and quality in the design and drafting drawing packages.
5. Report on work status, problem areas, and needs.
6. Track deliverable status, model progress, and design studies.
7. Prepare complete bills of materials for all drawings.
8. Organize project 3D model review meetings.
9. Coordinate and share input with other disciplines as required.
10. Support engineering and procurement staff with drawings, sketches, and material take-offs.
11. Possess solid experience in 3D model design and 2D drawings for process plant projects.
12. Have excellent working knowledge of PDS, SP3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
13. Experience supervising and training designers and CADD operators.
14. Experience in layout design, detail drafting, and material take-offs.
15. Work effectively to deliver requirements timely.
16. Knowledge of engineering practices, design details, international codes, standards, procedures, and specifications.

Qualifications

1. Educational Qualification: BE (GES+) / DME (Other contracts).
2. Experience in oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, and large project engineering design/drafting.
3. Proficiency in software: MicroStation, S3D, E3D, AutoCAD, PDS (optional).
4. Experience in 3D modeling from P&ID, setup of plot plans, piping layout, isometrics, hydrotest diagrams, nozzle orientation, and pipe support drawings.
5. Experience with engineering design, critical/large bore line support requirements.
6. Supervision experience of designers and CADD operators.
7. Ability to interface with other disciplines and work effectively.
8. Knowledge of engineering practices, design details, international codes, standards, procedures, and specifications.
