ED I/ Piping Designer

Job Description

Wood is looking for a talented Piping Designer to join our Piping/Pipeline Team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role offers the opportunity to contribute expertise to a diverse range of Wood Projects.

Responsibilities

• Interest in oil and gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining or infrastructure industries.
• Originate new and revise existing Piping/Pipeline engineering drawings.
• Revise and check engineering drawings against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
• Prepare complete bill of materials for all assigned drawings.
• Conduct and receive trainings related to job as required.
• Awareness and following of all drafting aspects such as correct use of symbols, layers and formats.
• Complete work within allocated man-hours effectively and plan work to avoid slippage.
• Interface, coordinate, and communicate effectively with the Project Lead and other team members.
• Conduct site visits to verify site conditions, markup drawings, and perform as-built activities.
• Manage deliverables submission with required quality checks and proper record management.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Graduate or post-graduate understanding of Engineering Practices, Design Methods and Calculations.
• Ability to interpret technical information applicable to engineering discipline.
• Apply theory in practical contexts to develop engineered solutions.
• Good communication, reporting, and presentation skills, including proficiency in English.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Highly motivated with personal initiative.
• Demonstrates integrity, a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and dependability.
• Team player capable of collaborating with supervisors, peers, and clients.
• High awareness and commitment to safety in daily activities.
