Job Description

Job Purpose
Lead and develop the Prototype shop internal Logistics activities (Material Handling). The Material Handling Manager is responsible for the floor material flow activity, assisting the Supply Chain Director in daily operations, representing the department in various activities or committees, focusing on team performance, delivering expected results, and providing solutions to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage warehouse and in-house logistics & material flow activities, including receiving, storing, picking, and line feeding components to the Prototype (PT) Shop assembly line and other logistics needs.
  2. Ensure accurate inventory management through cycle counts and audits, resolve discrepancies, monitor MIN/MAX levels, and raise alerts.
  3. Supervise warehouse and logistics staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  4. Maintain a safe, clean work environment by enforcing health and safety protocols.
  5. Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, and PT shop for smooth operations and timely deliveries.
  6. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory, shipments, and storage.
  7. Monitor and analyze performance metrics like inventory accuracy and order fulfillment.
  8. Implement continuous improvement initiatives for Material Handling efficiency.
  9. Coordinate with Module Groups, Procurement, and Logistics to convert PRs/POs into Goods Receiving.
  10. Prepare and share reports with end-users and leadership.
  11. Serve as a key contact for Material Handling operations, ensuring timely responses.

Job Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Experience: 10+ years in logistics, warehouse, or material handling, with at least 5 years managing teams, preferably in the automotive industry and greenfield sites. GCC/Middle East experience is advantageous.
