Job description

Ensures the accuracy of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Prepares and documents entries for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses by analyzing account data.
Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts through verification, allocation, posting, and reconciliation of transactions, while resolving any discrepancies.
Manages the general ledger by transferring data from subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balances, and reconciling entries.
Summarizes financial status by gathering data to create balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
Oversees the payroll process.
Facilitates external audits by analyzing and organizing general ledger accounts and providing necessary information to auditors.
Mitigates legal risks by adhering to regulatory requirements.
Protects financial data by performing regular database backups.
Safeguards the organization’s value by ensuring confidentiality of information.
Trains and supervises accountants.

Desired Candidate Profile

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field is required.
A master’s degree in accounting or an MBA is preferred.
Certification as a public accountant is highly desirable.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
