Job description

Brewer Morris is partnering with one of Saudi Arabia's largest and most high-profile organisations to appoint a Head of Commercial Finance. This role will lead analytics support to Financial Business Partners and the overall Financial Business Unit (FBU), ensuring the availability of accurate and comprehensive information for effective profitability and performance analysis. The Head of Commercial Finance will analyse financial data, conduct corporate financial modelling, and assess divisional performance, contributing to commercial and financial scenarios for divisional business units and subsidiaries. The role requires supporting decision-making processes by leveraging advanced analytical methods and technologies to deliver actionable insights and global benchmarking.

The Role

1. Develop department strategy in line with the Business Finance Sector and Finance Business Unit strategy at large to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment.
2. Establish the department's scorecard and KPIs to achieve targeted goals, objectives, and enhance the department's performance.
3. Develop the annual budget for the department and contribute to the development of the Business Finance Sector budget to ensure adequate funding provisions are made for the required activities.
4. Develop policies and procedures as appropriate to the department in alignment with organisational policies and procedures and recommend changes to enhance effective implementation.
5. Spearhead the delivery of extensive support to Financial Business Partners, ensuring they are furnished with essential information and thorough analysis.
6. Take charge of facilitating comprehensive analytics support for Financial Business Partners, enabling them to fulfil their duties with precision and effectiveness in profitability and performance analysis.
7. Ensure relevance, accuracy, and completeness of financial information used for analysis, leading detailed profitability analysis for management and business lines to support decision-making.
8. Spearhead the activity of developing business cases to assess potential opportunities or challenges related to ongoing business operations.
9. Spearhead analytical support to FBU Strategic Support & Capital Management Department to enable them to assess the financial impacts of strategic options.
10. Lead the development and maintenance of the corporate financial model and utilise it for analysis where applicable.

The Person

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or any related field and/or Master's degree.
• Professional accounting certification such as CPA / CIMA / ACA / ACCA.
• At least 8-10 years of relevant profitability & decision management experience.
• A broad understanding of Business Administration & Management, statutory and regulatory requirements, reporting standards, and compliance.
• Extensive expertise in leading financial management & analysis, deep understanding of analytics technology, data analytics, benchmarking analysis, and industry-wide reporting standards.
• Demonstrates experience of and ability in building strong working relationships and influencing at the executive leadership level.
• Demonstrates experience and ability in managing diverse stakeholder populations through effective communication and engagement of ideas and proposals. Experienced at Board- and sub-committee-level presentation/communication.
• Fluent Arabic and English communication skills.
