1. Main Objectives of this position :
  • Ensure the highest quality when interacting with customers, maintain a customer-oriented approach, and create value for both customers and Hapag-Lloyd.
2. Function and duties :
  • Evaluate customer potential and conduct MR Sales Planning.
  • Continuously improve the customer portfolio by securing new accounts and removing underperforming ones.
  • Update all activities regularly in Salesforce.
  • Review customer performance with the Sales Manager and define appropriate actions.
  • Serve as a specialist for segmented verticals where appropriate.
  • Prepare and conduct customer visits, report, and follow up.
  • Negotiate and close contracts with MR customers.
  • Record commitments through tender tracking and commercial activities.
  • Drive CU business for foreign MRs and adhere to the Push-Pull process.
  • Engage in TM discussions where relevant, such as tender guidance and negotiations.
  • Provide market feedback on rates, competition, and conditions to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Sales regarding pricing requirements and handovers to Customer Service.
3. Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements :
  • Apprenticeship in Shipping or Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the maritime industry or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in Sales and Customer Service functions.
  • Strong negotiation, decision-making, and presentation skills; confident and friendly demeanor.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and responsive.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize work, and follow through on actions.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in user application systems (FIS, CRM, COMPASS, MS Office).
  • Fluent in English.
