About Your Team

You'll report to the Project Planning Manager and work closely with construction managers and project teams. This role supports multiple projects and ensures all planning and project control requirements are met, helping ALEC FITOUT maintain its delivery excellence.

Your Role

As a Planning Engineer, you will:

• Develop project programs including activities, sequencing, resource requirements, and critical paths
• Monitor actual progress against plans, prepare look-ahead schedules, and identify bottlenecks
• Track resources and key performance indicators, including baselines and actuals
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor programs to ensure alignment with project requirements
• Maintain and revise working programs in collaboration with site teams
• Contribute to delay analysis and suggest mitigation or recovery actions
• Prepare reports and planning documentation to support construction managers
• Support in training and development of junior planning staff

What We're Looking For

Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Planning Engineer on high-end fit-out projects
• Proven track record in project controls, progress monitoring, and delay analysis

Knowledge and Expertise

• Engineering or Building Degree (or equivalent)
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Excel
• 4D Planning experience is a strong advantage
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
