Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Professional to join the Champions Department, responsible for delivering end-to-end product development, entrepreneurship, and investment opportunities to transform lucrative business ideas into champions that foster job creation and economic growth.

The role involves sourcing new SMEs and ideas, conducting due diligence, developing proposals and business plans, supporting localization of strategic SMEs, executing investment opportunities, and engaging with SMEs, partners, and investors, including negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial due diligence and valuation analysis on prospective investments.
  • Conduct industry market research and gather intelligence to identify opportunities in sectors like Sustainability/Climate Tech, MedTech, HardTech, and Fintech.
  • Develop and refine innovative business models aligned with strategic goals.
  • Create financial models to optimize ROI and support financial planning.
  • Prepare financial documents for investor presentations.
  • Analyze company accounts and projections to advise on investment positioning.
  • Provide updates on financial markets to position the company effectively locally and globally.
  • Develop investment policies and evaluation criteria aligned with company strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all investment regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Engineering; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • At least 9 years of experience in business development, investment support, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or consulting.
  • Strong market assessment experience, including structure, profitability, trends, and outlook.
  • Experience in financial modeling and revenue/profit forecast viability.
  • Excellent business acumen, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments, with willingness to travel.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative attitude.
  • Strong presentation skills; fluency in English and preferably Arabic.
  • Professional certifications like CFA, CMA, or PMP are a plus.
