- Logistics Planning & Optimization Experienced Professional
The opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Logistics Planning & Optimization Experienced Professional to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in implementing and continuously optimizing the Transport, Trade & Logistics (TT&L) operations. You will manage daily operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement of TT&L processes, tools, and services. Your efforts will ensure goods are shipped efficiently while meeting quality, legal, and cost parameters.
You will manage the end-to-end G/C transportation planning, including verification and approval of freight unit data (weight, dimensions, pick-up and delivery addresses and dates, incoterms), selecting MOT, checking routes, nominated carriers and lanes, calculating charges, selecting and assigning LSP, creating Freight Orders, and coordinating with stakeholders to resolve potential issues.
How you’ll make an impact
Managing import/export customs operations with customs brokers for general cargo, heavy lift, and parcel orders. Creating import/export customs declaration files, verifying HS classifications and descriptions, uploading relevant documents into SAP GTS, and communicating with customs brokers. Supporting customs clearance issues, managing IPR and OPR cases, and advising on current UCC and EU regulations in international trade. Applying for export incentives and licenses as needed, and living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.
Your background
- Diploma in Logistics Management or MBA in Logistics or Operations Management
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics and global trade, supporting operations in KSA
- Full understanding of transportation modes, import/export, and customs operations
- Good relationships with logistics suppliers
- Knowledge of SAP TM, SAP GTS, and SAP S/4HANA is preferred
- Proficiency in English (spoken & written)
