Position : Legal Counsel, KSA

Role Summary :

As our Legal Counsel, you will be positioned within the Group Legal team reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel MENA.

You will be the first point of contact for all material legal queries and matters pertaining to DSV businesses within Warehousing Operations and Road Transportation / Trucking, as well as corporate issues, in KSA and Bahrain. You will support other legal issues in the MENA region, ensuring adherence to local country laws and DSV Group Legal policies. We trust you to provide professional, focused legal advice and guidance, recognizing and managing internal risks, and recommending legal strategies to mitigate DSV’s legal exposure in the region.

Responsibilities :

1. Advise leadership, business development, and sales teams with legal guidance related to freight forwarding and logistics, in compliance with local laws and DSV policies.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to freight forwarding, warehousing, truck brokerage, road transportation, and real estate transactions, including lease agreements, ensuring DSV's best interests.
3. Liaise with Group Legal, insurance, and other entities to assist sales and business teams with terms and conditions for contracts.
4. Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters by coordinating with DSV Group Legal regarding claims and litigation.
5. Assist with corporate governance, including maintaining business entity documents, company formation, preparing resolutions, and managing shareholder meetings.
6. Research regulations to ensure contracts are compliant with DSV guidelines and local laws.
7. Coordinate with customers to ensure contract terms are fulfilled in accordance with agreements and regulations.
8. Advise stakeholders on legal trends, industry developments, and related risks affecting DSV operations and services.
9. Support Human Resources on labor and employment law matters, including contracts, policies, and training.
10. Engage external legal counsel for material claims or litigation, coordinating with local and group legal teams.
11. Lead interactions with local authorities on legal and regulatory issues as needed.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Qualifications & Certifications :

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 5 years legal experience, preferably in-house or at a law firm with in-house work
• Experience in transportation, freight forwarding, and logistics is preferred
