Job description

Main Purpose:

The General Legal Counsel will be responsible for leading and managing the legal affairs of the company, ensuring full compliance with applicable Saudi laws and regulations. This role involves advising executive management on strategic legal and regulatory matters, managing legal risks, overseeing contract negotiations, and ensuring governance and compliance across all business units.

Area of Responsibility:

Support the CLO in providing strategic legal advice to the Board of Directors, CEO, etc.

Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements including joint venture contracts, M&A deals, IP licensing, and supplier agreements.

Advise on pharmaceutical licensing, market entry, clinical trials, and regulatory submissions.

Lead due diligence processes for acquisitions and partnerships.

Manage disputes and litigation, engaging external counsel when necessary.

Develop and maintain corporate governance policies and internal legal frameworks.

Monitor legal developments and assess their impact on company operations.

Train and mentor internal legal teams and ensure continuous legal education.

Oversee risk management related to legal, regulatory, and reputational matters.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB); Master's degree (LLM or MBA) preferred

Work Experience:

Minimum 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven experience in cross-border transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance in KSA.

Strong command of Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
