Job description

Main Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning:Work with stakeholders to establish detailed project plans, identifying key milestones and deliverables.
  2. Regulatory Compliance:Manage the project framework to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled.
  3. Goal Setting:Develop and implement plans, set goals, and monitor/adjust targets for project teams as necessary.
  4. Budget Management:Prepare and recommend the project management budget, monitoring progress against line item costs.
  5. Quality Standards:Implement and maintain quality project management processes and standards to meet management expectations.
  6. Team Management:Manage project team members, providing clear directions and ensuring they are aware of their roles.
  7. Workload Prioritization:Plan and prioritize workload schedules to ensure timetables and deliverables are met while maximizing resources.
  8. Execution Management:Effectively manage project execution to ensure it produces the required deliverables to the specified standards of quality, time, and cost.
  9. Decision Making:Responsible for day-to-day decisions related to project execution.
  10. Progress Tracking:Track progress and review project tasks regularly; manage project risks and prepare a Risk Management Plan as necessary.
  11. Negotiation Skills:Showcase effective negotiation and persuasion skills when interacting with suppliers, clients, partners, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
  12. Resource Coordination:Acquire resources and coordinate team efforts with third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects on time.
  13. Compliance Guidelines:Establish guidelines and necessary corrective actions to ensure compliance with project requirements, EH&S standards, and quality standards.
  14. Additional Duties:Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor or manager.

Skills

Education

  • Essential:Bachelors degree in Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a relevant field.
  • Preferred:Masters degree in Management, Business, or any relevant field.

Professional Qualifications

  • Preferred:Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
