The Role Purpose:
The Director of Information Technology Services is responsible for creating and managing IT services activities to ensure the effective execution of management responsibilities, and for identifying improvement opportunities that support the achievement of short- and medium-term strategic objectives, in alignment with established KPIs, budgets, policies, and approved procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Strategy and Systems Development – Strategic Planning and Institutional Integration
- Execute the IT services strategy in alignment with the organization's goals and directions.
- Contribute to the development of operational plans and ensure their alignment with the institution’s strategic vision.
- Execute digital transformation initiatives and the modernization of infrastructure and enterprise systems.
- Plan and execute system migrations and technical integrations with Microsoft environments.
- Implement the strategic integration of Microsoft solutions to support operational and administrative functions.
- Develop scalable and secure technical solutions that meet both current and future business needs.
- Manage update cycles, system upgrades, and data migrations to ensure quality and operational integrity.
- Monitor emerging technological and regulatory developments and recommend updates to support digital excellence and sustainable innovation.
2. Enterprise Technical Infrastructure: Networks, Data, and Applications
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, Web application firewall, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
- Oversee data centers and cloud environments, ensuring their availability, reliability, and security.
- Execute infrastructure projects including fiber optic expansion, branch connectivity, and server room enhancements.
- Implement and integrate Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SCCM, and Microsoft 365.
- Oversee the design and management of enterprise databases, ensuring availability, scalability, and data integrity.
- Develop and support applications and systems that meet end-user needs and enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor data confidentiality and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
3. Technical Services and IT Support
- Develop and enhance the service desk platform to ensure effective and timely responses to user issues and inquiries.
- Supervise IT support teams and helpdesk operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to networks, systems, and infrastructure.
4. Governance, Compliance, and Documentation
- Develop and update IT policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure adherence to internal controls and industry standards.
- Prepare documentation and reports necessary for performance monitoring, audits, and internal/external reviews.
5. Stakeholders and Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand and address technical needs.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for resolving critical issues and providing high-level support when needed.
- Represent the organization in technical meetings and vendor negotiations, ensuring that services align with business requirements.
6. Budget and Technical Project Management
- Participate in the budgeting cycle and provide necessary input for budgeting processes.
- Oversee the execution of technical projects within a defined scope, schedule, and budget.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness and the achievement of desired outcomes from technical projects.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Saudi nationality is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Possesses an advanced certification in a relevant field of specialization.
Experience:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
