Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, defining scope, budget, schedule, and resources required for successful project delivery.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Monitor project budget, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures whenever possible.
- Coordinate resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of skills and expertise within the project team.
- Manage project changes effectively, evaluating impacts and implementing adjustments as needed.
- Oversee contract negotiations, administration, and compliance to ensure all parties fulfill their obligations according to the project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to regional and international regulatory requirements, obtaining necessary permits and approvals for project activities.
- Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, monitoring critical milestones and adjusting timelines as required to keep the project on track.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client, addressing concerns, providing updates, and building a strong professional relationship.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to strategize and execute the acquisition of necessary materials, equipment, and services to support project objectives.
- Implement and monitor HSE standards, ensuring that the project complies with all safety regulations and environmental sustainability practices.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the project team and conduct regular performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
- Address conflicts and issues within the project team, fostering a positive and cohesive working environment.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and best practice implementation across the project team to enhance overall project performance.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 20+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and engage team members towards project goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and risks.
- Proficient in project management tools and software, as well as a good understanding of construction and engineering principles.
