Job description

We are looking for a Senior Installation Engineer to manage and control projects from sales / installation hand-over to completion, including handover to the client and maintenance. The supervisor leads and manages the installation team to ensure safe, high-quality, complete-on-time delivery of KONE solutions within budget. They act as the KONE interface to customers and other stakeholders throughout the process. Additionally, the supervisor supports the sales team in pre-tender and tender activities as requested.

Site supervision process :

1. Accountable for the delivery of the installation project
2. Accountable for site safety
3. Responsible for managing environmental aspects of the installation
4. Accountable for the financial result of the project
5. Participates in the sales / installation hand-over and validates the order terms with the customer and salesperson
6. Responsible for planning and organizing the delivery and storage of materials and tools, and placing orders with subcontractors and suppliers
7. Responsible for site preparations and ensuring site readiness
8. Ensures the use of correct KONE installation methods throughout the project
9. Collaborates with Accounts Payable / Controlling to align site activities with contractual payment terms
10. Responsible for final testing of equipment and handover to maintenance

Customer and Sub-contractor Relationship Management :

• Responsible for customer satisfaction and installation quality
• Responsible for sub-contractor quality and safety performance
• Acts as the single point of contact for the customer during installation, managing internal and external communications

People Management / Leadership :

• Responsible for the development and wellbeing of site operatives and managing team performance
• Sets objectives, plans, and motivates the installation team
• Identifies training needs and manages training plans

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in the elevator & escalator industry
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with contractors, clients, and stakeholders
• Leadership skills for managing on-site teams
• Excellent verbal and written English and Arabic skills
• Attention to detail regarding design, safety, and regulations
