The Firm has embarked upon a period of strategic international growth, including expanding its footprint in the Middle East. Recently, the firm launched a new office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, complementing existing offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha.

The Riyadh office aims to establish a market-leading presence through technical excellence, innovative service delivery, and sector focus, becoming the law firm of choice for clients in the region.

We are recruiting a Senior Accountant to support the Middle East Regional Finance Operations Manager and the Head of Office. The role involves embedding strong financial hygiene practices, managing financial operations, and supporting business growth. The position is diverse, hands-on, and requires the candidate to work independently and collaboratively across multiple locations.

Candidate Overview

We seek candidates with the following skills and experience:

  1. Managing daily accounting, financial, and treasury transactions for the Riyadh office, including:
  • Processing and managing e-invoicing under ZATCA regulations.
  • Handling vendor invoices, reconciling payments, and resolving discrepancies for timely month-end closing.
  • Ensuring the trial balance is complete, reconciled, and compliant with firm policies.
  • Collaborating with the treasury team to manage cash/liquidity and facilitate payments.
  • Reconciling bank accounts and intercompany transactions.
  • Serving as the point of contact for KSA financial matters, including assisting with financial applications and document translations from Arabic to English.
  • Staying informed on local financial issues and communicating relevant topics.
  • Liaising with a local partner firm for billing and financial coordination.
  • Providing financial insights and reports to support office management and strategic growth, including ad hoc reports.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and annual audit processes.
  • Assisting with partner invoicing, payments, and ZATCA filings such as VAT and WHT returns.
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
    • Professional accounting qualifications are highly desirable.
    • 5-7 years of experience in a large professional services organization or law firm.
    • Experience in establishing strong financial practices in a new environment.
    • Solid understanding of IFRS, KSA tax law, and treasury principles.
    • Good knowledge of KSA VAT regulations and their practical application.
    • Knowledge of Aderant or Elite systems is a plus.
