Job description

Overview:

We are seeking an Instrument and Control System Engineer to work in the Western Area Pipelines Department.

The Western Area Pipelines Department is responsible for transporting crude, gas, NGL, and products across several customers in the western side of Saudi Arabia.

Your primary role is to maintain and repair field instrumentation and control system equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform necessary maintenance on assigned equipment, replacing parts as required under supervision.
  2. Perform skilled maintenance, maintain and repair field instrumentation and basic supervisory equipment, such as vibration monitoring equipment, using standard test equipment and diagnostics.
  3. Provide technical support for all field instrumentation and control systems, including SCADA, DCS, RTUs, and subsystems at WAPD facilities, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and system/software maintenance:

A. SCADA Control System (Siemens CS7 & PCS Telecontrol).

B. PLC (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, ABB, Emerson, Yokogawa, GE).

C. DCS (Yokogawa, ABB, Honeywell, Siemens).

D. Fire Control System.

E. Metering and Proving Control System and Skid.

F. Vibration Monitoring System (GE-Bentley-Nevada 3500).

G. Radar Tank Gauging.

  1. Participate in factory and site acceptance tests for instrumentation and equipment packages.
  2. Perform technical bid evaluations for control systems and instrumentation. Serve as a field technical lead on SCADA, RTUs, ESD, VMS, and PLC system project design and support during implementation.
  3. Reassemble and recalibrate equipment, run operating tests to ensure proper repair.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in Instrumentation or Control System.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience, preferably in the oil or process industry.
