Job description

Job Purpose / Role:

To manage and maintain the Business Continuity Management Program which include the various aspects of the business continuity governance and initiatives and establishing the efficient coordination with the related departments to effectively respond to threats such as disasters or major incidents and protect the business interests of SIMAH.

Areas of Responsibility:

Strategic:

  • Contributes to the development of SIMAH's Business Continuity and strategic and leadership.

Policies, Processes & Procedures:

  • Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Day- to-day operations:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.

BCM-BIA:

  • Manage BCM team in reviewing and validating BIA information provided by departments.
  • Oversite the progress of BIA update and report on to BCM Committee.

BCM-RA:

  • Manage BCM team in reviewing and validating BC RA information provided by departments.
  • Oversite progress of BC RA update and report on to BCM Committee.

BCM-Planning:

  • Manage BCM team in reviewing and validating departmental plans updated information provided by departments.
  • Oversite progress of departmental recovery plans update and report on to BCM Committee.

BCM-Crisis Management:

  • Review and validate Crisis Management plans.
  • Manage annual Crisis Management exercises programme desktop scenario exercises and simulation exercises.
  • Manage to Oversite collected data related to incident/disaster response and recovery.
  • Manage in confirming the nature and extent of the incident.
  • Oversite progress of preventive measures and corrective actions.

BCM Exercise:

  • Manage BCM team in reviewing and validating test scenarios.
  • Manage BCM team in BCM exercises programme arrangements.
  • Review progress of testing and report on to BCM Committee.
  • Manage captured issues and escalations from the test and BCM teams and report them to concerned stakeholders.

BCM- Training and Awareness:

  • Manage the awareness materials.
  • Ensure attendance levels are maintained.
  • Review progress of awareness activities and report to BCM Committee.

BCM-Policy and Procedures:

  • Manage in Maintain BCM Policy and procedures.
  • Manage to Maintain BCM Governance and committees.
  • Recommend enhancements/updates to existing policy and processes to BCM Committee.

BCM-Reporting:

  • Review various reports as required by the BCM activities.
  • Manage BCM team in providing input or collect data required for BCM reports.
  • Raise recommendations to BCM Committee for endorsement.

Business Recovery Centers:

  • Manage to Oversite requirements related to recovery center.
  • Manage in Oversite findings and issues reported in recovery center.
  • Manage in Oversite recommended enhancements and changes in recovery center.
  • Review reports related to progress of preparing/enhancing recovery center.

BCM-Consultations and Advice:

  • Provide consultations related to BCM and advice to the departments in SIMAH and its subsidiaries.

Project Management:

  • Manage Business Continuity team in related projects across SIMAH.

Management Reporting:

  • Manage in Provide various reports to Business Continuity Committee regarding Business Continuity issues and matters.

BCM Internal and External Audit:

  • Respond to internal and external audit reports, develop preventative measures, and implement corrective actions.

Vendors and 3rd Party Relations:

  • Manage the Participate in RFP preparation, proposal evaluation, vendor selection and recommendations related to Business Continuity procurements.

People Management:

  • Provide guidance and assistance to junior members / coordinators of business continuity team
  • Ensures subordinates have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and individual development plans, with particular emphasis on the development of talented Saudi national staff.

Information Security Obligations:

  • Comply with the corporate information security policies & procedures relevant to his role.

Preserve the:

  • Confidentiality of information by promising that data should only be accessed by authorized people;
  • Integrity of the information by safeguarding the accuracy and completeness of information and processing methods;
  • Availability of information, by ensuring that users under his control has access to information and associated assets when required.
  • Protect organizational assets (information, software, hardware) against compromise.
  • Comply with Data Protection and Intellectual Property Rights legislation valid in KSA.
  • Ensure that all required physical security controls and mechanisms are enforced within his area of work.
  • Report immediately any observed and/or suspected information security incidents and security breaches to his superior and to the Information Security Team or Service Desk.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Support in Overseeing the overall Business Continuity activities within SIMAH and continuing the progress within the department.
  • Assess periodically the Subordinates relation processes and ensure the complete processes.

Reporting:

  • Lead in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of SIMAH to meet company and department requirements, policies, and standards.

Safety, Quality & Environment:

  • Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Related Assignments:

  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Finance, IT or Business Administration/ Risk Management or analytically oriented major or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

8-10 years of relevant experience, at least 5-6 years of which with Business Continuity Management.

Language:

  • English: Advanced.
